Re the first link, come on, Lukashenko has had his tongue up Putin’s ass for decades. Any flirting with NATO was as a cheap way to get leverage with Russia, and cannot possibly have been worth taking seriously.
Lukashenko has played Putin and the West off against each other for years, it was only when the West went full regime change against Minsk that he had to commit.
It was an own goal by the western foreign policy apparatus.
