Well, now we have details on his latest infidelity, probably the one that got his wife to leave him,he was f%$#ing a married Christian influencer (whatever the hell that means) who has 7 children with her current husband.

Texas's controversial Attorney General has been caught in a shocking sex scandal - less than two years after cheating on his wife with his mistress.

The Daily Mail can exclusively reveal Ken Paxton, 62, was secretly seeing a married Christian influencer behind the backs of both their partners.

Multiple sources confirm mother-of-seven Tracy Duhon, 57, who is also an author, is the reason the politician's relationship crumbled earlier this summer.

Texas State Senator Angela Paxton announced in July their 38-year marriage was over in a stinging tweet, citing 'biblical grounds'.

It is not the first time Ken Paxton has been rocked by scandal, having been caught cheating on Angela in 2023 with his former mistress Laura Olsen.

He was impeached by the state house, accused of misusing his office and taking bribes while trying to get a job for his lover, allegations he denied all along and was acquitted of in the state senate.

His wife stood by him through that first scandal.

But the latest incident with Duhon appears to have been the last straw, and could threaten Paxton's latest bid to become a US senator.

I can see why some people want to home school their kids, but all too often, they end up not educating their children at all.

As such, I find it refreshing that Illinois is considering a bill to regulate home schooling.

The fact that a parent wants to home school their child is less important than what that child objectively needs: 

A new Illinois bill aims to add some oversight of families who homeschool their children, a response to concerns that the state does little to ensure these students receive an education and are protected from harm.

The measure, known as the Homeschool Act, comes after an investigation by Capitol News Illinois and ProPublica last year found that Illinois is among a small number of states that place virtually no rules on parents who homeschool their children. Parents don’t have to register with any state agency or school district, and authorities cannot compel them to track attendance, demonstrate their teaching methods or show student progress.

Under the new bill, families would be required to tell their school districts when they decide to homeschool their children, and the parents or guardians would need to have a high school diploma or equivalent. If education authorities have concerns that children are receiving inadequate schooling, they could require parents to share evidence of teaching materials and student work.

The investigation documented the case of L.J., a 9-year-old whose parents decided to homeschool him after he missed so much school that he faced the prospect of repeating third grade. He told child welfare authorities that he was beaten and denied food for several years while out of public school and that he received almost no education. In December 2022, on L.J.’s 11th birthday, the state took custody of him and his younger siblings; soon after, he was enrolled in public school.

This is the problem with many, though obviously not all, home schooling advocates.

They do not see their children as their responsibility, they see their children as their property.

Worst Adaption of King Lear Ever

Rupert Murdoch has lost the court fight to cut 3 of his 4 children out of control of his media empire.

He wanted to give complete control to Lachlan, and leave the other 3 eldest James, Elisabeth and Prudence with no control of the Newscorp.

The judge said that an irrevocable trust is just that, irrevocable, and additionally making Lachlan the exclusive manager of the organization would jeopardize the interests of the other three.

In arguments, Rupert Murdoch stated that he wanted Lachlan, who most closely follows his antediluvian politics, to run things, but I'm wondering if this wasn't a ploy initiated by the eldest son.

In any case, whatever pain this causes the patriarch of the Murdoch clan is well deserved:

A Nevada commissioner ruled resoundingly against Rupert Murdoch’s attempt to change his family’s trust to consolidate his eldest son Lachlan’s control of his media empire and lock in Fox News’s right-wing editorial slant, according to a sealed court document obtained by The New York Times.

The commissioner, Edmund J. Gorman Jr., concluded in a decision filed on Saturday that the father and son, who is the head of Fox News and News Corp., had acted in “bad faith” in their effort to amend the irrevocable trust, which divides control of the company equally among Mr. Murdoch’s four oldest children — Lachlan, James, Elisabeth and Prudence — after his death.

The ruling was at times scathing. At one point in his 96-page opinion, Mr. Gorman characterizes the plan to change the trust as a “carefully crafted charade” to “permanently cement Lachlan Murdoch’s executive roles” inside the empire “regardless of the impacts such control would have over the companies or the beneficiaries” of the family trust.

The battle over the family trust is not about money — Mr. Murdoch is not seeking to diminish any of his children’s financial stakes in the company — but rather about future control of the world’s most powerful conservative media empire, which includes Fox News, The Wall Street Journal, The New York Post and major newspapers and television outlets in Australia and Britain.

And therein lies the rub.  If Lachlan runs said empire without any input from the beneficiaries of the fund, he can cause them significant financial harm.

It should be noted that the trust appears to have been structured to evade inheritance taxes, so there is a bit more schadenfreude there as well.

The commissioner’s ruling, while significant, is not the final word in the case. The commissioner acts as a “special master” who weighs the testimony and evidence and submits a recommended resolution to the Probate Court. It falls to a district judge to ratify or reject that recommendation. Even then, the losing party is free to challenge the determination, which could precipitate an intensive new round of litigation.

Yeah, but Murdoch is 93 years old, and any new round of litigation will likely outlast him.

You are going to hell Rupert, you might as well begin enjoying it on earth.

I am completely unsurprised that former Trump Attorney General Bill Barr is hip deep in this affair.  If something unethical is to be done, he's your man.

It appears that Andrew Cuomo's sister was running the smear campaign against those accusing him of sexual harassment.

I do not know how Mario Cuomo's kids ended up such irredeemably toxic dirt bags, but Mario's kids are truly awful people:

The menacing posts began cropping up on Twitter last September just hours after a former aide to Gov. Andrew M. Cuomo of New York sued him over sexual harassment claims.

The tweets attacked the aide, Charlotte Bennett, in starkly personal terms. “Your life will be dissected like a frog in a HS science class,” read one of the most threatening, which also featured a photo of Ms. Bennett dancing at a bar in lingerie.

The post was part of a thread written by Anna Vavare, a leader of a small but devoted group of mostly older women who banded together online to defend Mr. Cuomo from a cascade of sexual misconduct claims that led to his resignation in August 2021. But it turns out, her tweets had secretly been ordered up by someone even closer to the former governor’s cause: Madeline Cuomo, his sister.

Far from an isolated episode, the unvarnished exchange is part of a trove of more than 4,000 text messages, emails and voice memos between leaders of the group and Ms. Cuomo shared with The Times this summer. Together, they provide unusual insight into how far members of one of America’s most storied political families were willing to go to rehabilitate a fallen Democratic scion and humiliate those they believed had wronged him.

Made up almost entirely of women inspired by Mr. Cuomo’s handling of the Covid pandemic, We Decide New York rapidly joined forces in spring 2021 to defend an increasingly isolated governor as traditional allies abandoned him. The group swarmed his critics on social media, sold Cuomo swag and pushed for due process.

But four of the group’s current leaders said in interviews that even as their work appeared organic to the outside world, Ms. Cuomo, 58, began privately exerting control. Starting just weeks after the group was formed, she steered its volunteer activists — many in their 50s, 60s and 70s — to prop up her brother and hound his accusers ever more aggressively.

Ms. Cuomo was adamant her role be hidden. She repeatedly asked her interlocutors to delete messages. And when a reporter for The Times called some leaders of the group for an earlier article, Ms. Cuomo instructed the women to falsely claim they had no contact with the Cuomos, according to Sandy Behan, the founding president of We Decide. 

New York is fortunate to be free of this family.

Boeing astronaut Chris Ferguson has bowed out of the first manned flight of the first "Starliner" flight because it conflicts with his daughter's wedding.

It's clear that the sexual harassment situation in Congress is a bipartisan phenomenon, but the Republicans have really nailed the skeevy side of things.

Case in point, Trent Franks (R-AZ) will be resigning because he tried to coerce his women staff members into renting out their uteruses (uteri?) to him:

Rep. Trent Franks, an Arizona Republican who is among the most conservative members of the House, said he would resign his seat after House officials learned that he had asked two female employees to bear his child as a surrogate.

Franks’s announcement came as the House Ethics Committee said it would create a special subcommittee to investigate Franks for conduct “that constitutes sexual harassment and/or retaliation for opposing sexual harassment.”

His resignation, which Franks said is effective Jan. 31, will end the ethics investigation.

Franks said in his statement that the investigation concerns his “discussion of surrogacy with two previous female subordinates, making each feel uncomfortable.”

While Franks’s statement left the circumstances of the “discussion” murky, three Republicans familiar with the allegations said that he had asked the staffers, who worked for him at the time but have since left his office, if they would serve as a surrogate mother for his child. A spokesman for Franks did not respond to a request for comment on that claim.

Seriously, this is just f%$#ing creepy.

According to Johnson, multiple sources within the Tea Party confirmed that Fisher had a prolonged affair with Joel Frewa, a now-former video editor for the Tea Party News Network. Johnson says Frewa resigned after word of the affair began to leak out.

“The affair took place at a “Restoring the Dream” event, a Faith & Freedom conference, and on Election night 2014,” Johnson said.

The irony here is delicious, but it is far from surprising.
