Trevor Noah gave the headline speech at the White House Correspondents Dinner, or has he called it, "The nation's most distinguished super-spreader event", and I was not particularly impressed. (Though the super-spreader bit was good)
It wasn't Stephen Colbert in 2006, but no one could be, but it also was not Larry Wilmore or Michelle Wolfe.
There were the requisite number of burns, but they were mild and not particularly insightful.
It was competent and well delivered, but it lacked soul.
