Well, this is a first for me

Nearly 2 years ago, around the time of Charles' coronation, I add the whole British Royal Family to my list of, "They who must not be named."

For the first time ever, I have to bring someone back, specifically, Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, the artist formerly known as Prince Andrew, who has been arrested for allegedly transmitting insider information to Jeffrey Epstein

I think that this is significant enough for me to comment on this.

King Charles has insisted “the law must take its course” after detectives took the unprecedented step of arresting his brother Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor on suspicion of misconduct in public office.

Police took him to Aylsham police station in Norfolk on Thursday morning for questioning about allegations he shared confidential material with the convicted child sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.

In the evening he was pictured in the back of a car being driven away from the police station shortly after 7pm.

Thames Valley police said he was released under investigation, and searches at a property in Norfolk, Andrew’s home on the Sandringham estate, had concluded. Searches at the Royal Lodge in Windsor, Berkshire, his former address, were continuing.

On an extraordinary day that could have profound effects for the royal family, unmarked police cars and plainclothes officers from the Thames Valley force were seen at Mountbatten-Windsor’s residence at Wood Farm on the Sandringham estate at about 8am. They searched the Norfolk property as well as his former home in the Royal Lodge in Great Windsor Park.

Hours later Charles gave his unqualified backing to the police investigation into his brother, who was arrested on his 66th birthday. The king said the “law must take its course”.

One of the things that people have missed about the whole Epstein affair is that even if one does not consider his child sex trafficking, (Apart from that, how was the play, Mrs. Lincoln?) Epstein was a crook, who hung out with crooks, all of whom saw their wealth as a shield against accountability.

Accountability?  How quaint.

Adding to My List

I reserve the right to continue this GIF though
Specifically, I am adding Shia LaBeouf to my list of They Who Must Not Be Named.

I really hope that he does not get elected to a federal office, or even less likely gets an Oscar, which would require me to drop him from the list.

Adding to the List

I am referring, of course to my list of "They Who Must Not Be Named."

This list is for entities who I have decided are simply never going to be worth my comment on them.

For the first time, I have added a non-human entity to the list, and rather surprisingly it has no ties to artificial intelligence.

I have added RFK Jr.'s brain worm to my list, though I might continue to discuss the worm as a world health issue, as it appears to be a rather common condition.  (Best guess at this is that it is a form of tapeworm, and this is a fairly common condition in the tropics called Taeniasis which effects millions)

I will continue to comment on the various inanities and insanities of the both his Presidential campaign and his other endeavors, such as his antivaxx advocacy, but the worm I see as little more than a justification for a profoundly lazy joke at his expense.

If I am going to make a joke about RFK Jr. it won't involve the above, it will probably be nastier, and more difficult, though I will do my best not to make a joke involving Sirhan Sirhan.

Why I Haven't Commented on the Death of the Recent Death of a Very Public Person

While this individual achieved much notoriety in professional sports, and went on to have significant success in entertainment, he was, at the end of his life, best known for his involvement in a notorious crime, which involved a large number of interesting juxtapositions between fame, race, law enforcement, and media excesses.

I thought about posting, and was asked by someone about this, but I decided against it.

I placed him on my list of, "They who must not be named," in 2016, and I am sticking to that.

That is all.

I Don't Care, I Don't Have To

I know that I don't often say so, but there are some wonderful things about being an American, things that people have fought and died for.

I was born in Boston, where almost 200 years before, some tea was tragically abused in order for us not to care about, at least in part, about the goings on of the British Royal Family.

So I don't give a f%$# about the coronation of King Charles.

I ……… Just ………Don't ………Care.

Too Fascist, Racist, and Antisemitic for Alex Jones

That moment when Alex Jones realizes that he is not the craziest person in the room
I know that I have put a celebrity on my list of they who must not be named.

For the sake of argument let's call him Clayton Bigsby.

And Clayton appeared on Alex Jones show, and proved too bigoted, and too insane for Alex Jones to deal with. (As Anna Russell would say, "I'm not making this up, you know.)

The rapper (*The Artist formerly known as Clayton Bigsby*) praised Adolf Hitler and Nazis in an interview Thursday with far-right provocateur Alex Jones, drawing a fresh round of condemnation for his incendiary antisemitism a week after he dined with former president Donald Trump alongside white nationalist Nick Fuentes.

“I like Hitler,” a fully masked (*The Artist formerly known as Clayton Bigsby*) told Jones. Minutes later, the rapper said, “I love Jewish people, but I also love Nazis.”

Jones laughed and quickly added, “Well, I have to disagree with that.”

………

The House Judiciary GOP Twitter account on Thursday deleted a tweet it posted in October that said simply: “(*Clayton*). Elon. Trump.”

………

The conversation with Jones focused on the Nov. 23 dinner
(*The Artist formerly known as Clayton Bigsby*) and Fuentes had with Trump, which occurred one week after Trump had announced another run for president. The interview underscored Trump’s long-running ties to, and refusal to fully denounce, public figures known for spreading hate speech and baseless conspiracy claims.

………

In the days after news of the dinner emerged, top Republican officials throughout the country, to varying degrees, criticized Trump for dining with two of the country’s most high-profile antisemites. Trump claimed he did not know of Ye’s and Fuentes’s public statements about Jewish people. According to advisers who spoke on the condition of anonymity to discuss confidential conversations with him, Trump thought the controversy would blow over.

“I think it’s dying down,” they recalled Trump saying.

Ye’s interview and its fallout paint a different picture.

During Thursday’s show, Jones told Ye, “You’re not a Nazi” and “You don’t deserve to be called that and demonized.”

“Well,” he replied, “I see good things about Hitler.”

And then Alex Jones looks uncomfortable, wondering, "Who the f%$# is this crazy man?

………

The dinner also elevated antisemitism “to the highest echelon of political life,” Jacobs said. After reading excerpts of Jones’s show Thursday, Jacobs added, “I never imagined this would be the day-to-day reality of our world.”

………

Jones appeared to revel in the attention his guests were bringing to his show. “I’m the crazy one here,” Jones said. “We’re all crazy. The whole world is crazy. And the whole power structure is coming down.”

Jones added: “This is absolutely lit. This is lit, lit, lit, lit, lit, lit. Number one show in the world right now.”

(All Clayton Bixby variants mine)

No, Alex, you were not the crazy one there, you're just one of the other crazy guys out there.

It's finally happened.

This is some majorly f%$#ed up sh%$.

On the other hand, I imaging that not being the craziest guy in the room must be killing Alex Jones, so I am amused.

People that I Neither Respect nor Support

One such person Liz Cheney, whose lopsided primary loss to Harriet Hageman has the "Very Serious People" expressing their unhappiness.

They are both awful people who have pursued policies that are bad for America and the world.

That Liz Cheney was right once in her life does not mean that her lionization is justified.

As to her opposing Donald Trump's coup attempt, to quote comedian Chris Rock. "Yhat’s what you’re supposed to do."

She should no more subject to adulation for this behavior than I should be for not baking my cats into pies.

In other election results, it appears there was an upset in the special election to replace the late Don Young in Alaska, with Democrat Mary Peltola likely to win the race to fill the last few months of Young's term.  She was likely helped in this by being the only Democrat in a race with 22 candidates.

For the next term, her success is less likely, as the top 4 primary vote getters, her, Sarah Palin (how I long for the day when I can add her to my list of They Who Must Not Be Named), Nick Begich III, and Tara Sweeney will compete in a ranked choice vote general election.

As to Lisa Murkowski, and what will likely be a tight race with Republican Kelly Tshibaka, the 2nd paragraph of this post applies to Ms. Murkowski as well.

Adding to My List

Following the right wing sh%$ storm after a minor rebranding, I am adding the M&M's advertising mascots to my list of They Who Must Not Be Named.

I may continue to discuss candies, but the CGI advertising avatars that have turned into a right wing hissy fit because the Green M&M has changed footwear?  I am done with them.

The juxtaposition of right wing faux outrage and right wing foot fetishes is way past my limit.

Also, I prefer Almond Roca:

The green M&M has a new look. Not everyone is impressed.

The problem? The once-sexy cartoon candy seems to have been stripped of her mojo, some say.

In photos and videos released by candy company Mars Inc., the humanlike green M&M no longer has her signature pose—one hand on her head, and another by her hip. The peachy skin tone on her legs and arms is now a cartoonish white. And her high-heeled boots have been swapped for sneakers, which the company said reflects what people are wearing during the Covid-19 pandemic.

This is where Rule 34 goes to die.

No, I Will NOT Discuss

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez's dress at the Met Gala

It's a juxtaposition of fashion, politics, and high society, and I am SPECTACULARLY ill suited to analyzing this or the ensuing Twitter sh%$ storm.

I got nothing, so I am adding that dress to my list of They Who Must Not Be Named

If that sounds silly, that's because I'm not a serious person.

I'll still talk about AOC ex fashion though.

Adding to My List

I've got another entity to add to my list of They Who Must Not Be Named, but not because these individuals are unworthy, it appears that they are worthy and without blame, unless, of course they sh%$ on the carpet.

I will not meddle in the affairs of pure bred show dogs, like the Pekingese named "Waasabi" that just won "Best in Show" at the Westminster dog show.

Competitions between pure bred (inbred) animals, it's just not my thing.

Animal pix are always welcome, whether they are cute cats, darling dogs, smiling snakes, profane parrots, obstreperous octopi, likeable lizards, precious ponies, tenacious turtles, precious pigs,
Shakespearean sharks,and happy hamsters.

A Reminder:

There are any number of people that I have on a list of They Who Must Not Be Named. This includes the Royal Family of Britain, who I really don't care about, which is a sentiment also held, it appears, by a significant number of BBC viewers.

That is all.

Adding to My List of They Who Must Not Be Named

Submitted for your approval, one Stacey Lauretta Dash, who has decided that stapling herself to Donald Trump may have been a bad idea.

She has expressed regret for being an, "Angry, conservative, Black woman."

I do not care.

Adding to the List

The list of, "They Who Must Not Be Named," of course.

In this case, I am referring to actor Armie Hammer, who, somewhat like Peter Thiel, is alleged to aspire to be a vampire, though for more carnal reasons than does Thiel, who is questing for immortality.

As an aside, I do have a bit of a personal connection to the actor, in that my Grandmother came in second to his great grandfather, Armand Hammer, in a high school debate competition to him back in the day.

So, absent something like his running for US Congress, I will not mention him again.

Then again I never had cause to mention him before.

That bloody monolith.

Just sick and tired of it now.

So, unless it actually involves real aliens, I'm done.

Adding to My List of They Who Must Not Be Named

Jeffrey Toobin.

I'm pretty sure that he won't care about this.  He has his hands full. (Heh)

My standard statement upon putting someone on this list is:

Absent some sort of political activity, such as endorsements, running for office (PLEASE GOD NO!!), or their attempting to assassinate someone, they will not be mentioned here.

Toobin is primarily a pundit, so it's unlikely that he will actually break news, or have an original idea, so this is probably the last time that you will hear about him here.

This is a level of screwing the pooch that approaches some sort of twisted dog bordello.

Adding a Body Part to My List of They Who Must Not Be Named

In what must be a first, I feel compelled to add New York Governor Andrew Cuomo’s Nipples to my list of They Who Must Not Be Named.

It appears that in a couple of pix with him in a polo shirt, it looked like he might have had nipple piercings.

I do not know. I don't WANT to know:
Every day, New York Governor Andrew M. Cuomo holds a press conference to update the public amid the ongoing coronavirus pandemic ravaging his state. After speaking, he takes questions from journalists about ventilators, social distancing, and when this whole thing might be over. All things the public desperately needs to know, sure, but on Monday the internet had another question: Does our governor have a nipple piercing?

Call it the delusionary effects of staying inside for three weeks or another sign of our unmitigated, isolation-induced horniness: Some on Twitter and Reddit are convinced they can see the outline of jewelry hanging from Cuomo’s chest. The rumor began over the weekend, sparked by the white “State of Emergency” polo he’s taken to wearing.

“Is it just me or is Cuomo’s nipple totally pierced?” questioned a Reddit thread. “If it is I like him even more,” one replied. “Don’t kink-shame this hero,” another scolded.
Please, just make this stop.

Removing the Olympics from My List of They Who Must Not Be Named

Normally, I do not watch the Olympics, summer or winter, and I do not write about it, because the coverage is painful to watch, and because I think that it does more to foment international hostility and discord than any other mass gathering in the world.

That being said, when Covid-19 forces a 1 year delay of the games, it does take on a significance beyond sport and mindless nationalism:
A week ago, Prime Minister Shinzo Abe of Japan and Thomas Bach, president of the International Olympic Committee, were promoting the Summer Olympics in Tokyo as the balm the world needed to show victory over the coronavirus pandemic.

On Tuesday, the virus won out.

Bach and Abe bowed to a groundswell of resistance — from athletes, from sports federations, from national Olympic committees, from health experts — and formally postponed the Games, which had been scheduled to begin in late July, until 2021.
I guess that the Covid-19 pandemic now qualifies as real news now.
