So we have the April jobs report, and members the Federal Reserve Open Market Committee are probably considering another 50 basis point (½%) rate hike.
We have 253,000 jobs added, wages rose by 4.4%, and unemployment fell to 3.4%.
Clearly, the beatings will continue.
I'm confused though, because initial unemployment claims rose to 242,000, the highest level in 6 weeks, though continuing claims fell, down 38,000 to 1.81 million.
¯\_(ツ)_/¯
