Most importantly, California voters approved Proposition 50, which will Gerrymander in response to Republican Gerrymanders. Good. F%$# this, "They go low, we go high," bullsh%$.
To quote the Brian De Palma film, "They pull a knife, you pull a gun. They send one of yours to the hospital, you send one of theirs to the morgue! That's the Chicago way!"
Of almost similar import, at least to me, was Zohran Mamdami's victory in the race for New York Mayor. Despite all of Wall Street, and all of the most horrible, people, (but I repeat myself) people going after him, it looks like his margin will be nearly 10 points.
Maybe next time, the Democratic Party establishment (There is no Democratic Party establishment) might want to consider running someone for Mayor of New York City who is not a corrupt abusive douchebag who hates the City of New York.
Meanwhile, Democratic gubernatorial candidates in Virginia and New Jersey both won decisively, meaning that the Virginia counter-redistricting is likely to move forward as well.
It's a pretty good night.
