Well Shit, It's Bank Failure Friday!!

We had the first commercial bank failure of the year, on the 3rd Friday of the month, and the 1st credit union failure a week ago.

We had 2 bank failures last year total, and we are already at half that.

Interestingly enough, both of these institutions had failed attempts to merge last year.

I'm wondering if merger negotiations are a sign of distress.
