I am referring, of course to Flaco, the Eurasian Eagle-Owl. (Pictured right)
This magnificent representative of the genus Bubo, escaped from his habitat at the Central Park Zoo after vandals cut a hole in the mesh wall.
Finding, and watching the owl as he goes on walkabout has become a major obsession of bird watchers in and around Central Park.
The zookeepers are just trying to get him back.
Today, Sunday, February 12 is his day.
Why is today his day?
Haven't you ever heard of Superb Owl Sunday?
