When I critiqued the New York Times for its article suggesting that Africa has a low rate of Covid because of some sort of sub-Saharan voodoo, and since they are a mess should not get vaccines because they have so many other problems.
Well, I missed something, which is that many pandemic mitigation strategies are fairly simple and low cost, and that African governments could have these strategies.
My apologies to my reader(s):
I like @RottenInDenmark's comment on this article, and what makes it even more surprising is that I spent 90 min with the author and spoke about how Sierra Leone's Ebola experience led to more effective government responses to COVID early in the pandemic https://t.co/UKuMQ3x8mO https://t.co/mHfvawVnJX

Mateo, one of the many things I like about you is that you admit when you're wrong, kind of like Maddow. I loved her mania for self-correcting, asking every guest if her story was accurate.
... and then there's the New York Times, still quiet about having backed the Vietnam War...
