The Kids Are Alright

A 17 year old student in Gig Harbor, WA gave a speech supporting the legalization of marijuana at a school event highlighting persuasive speeches.

At the end of the speech, he, "he pulled out a joint and smoked it in front of the class," and then ate the roach (remainder of the joint).

I applaud his courage, though school officials did not. They called in the local sheriff, and he was sent to juvenile hall.
