This Was Not a Bug, This Was a Feture

The TARP watchdog committee is now saying that Hank Paulson and His Evil Minions^™ overpaid for TARP assets, and that they paid $274 billion for assets worth $176 billion.

This was not an oversight. This was what Paulson wanted.

He was looking at bailing out his budget at taxpayer expense, because to him, bailing out overpaid Wall Street pukes was job 1....Mission accomplished.
