Sudan Arrests Janjaweed Militia Leader
The arrest of Ali Muhammad Ali Abd-al-Rahman likely means nothing, and is little more than an attempt to prevent an indictment of Sudanese President Omar Hassan al-Bashir.
Either it's a phony arrest, and he will be on the streets again in a few months, or he will have an "unfortunate accident" in prison.
In either case, he will be unavailable to UN investigators.
