House Financial Services Committee Approves Mortgage Reform Bill

Well, despite the best efforts of the craven Bush Dogs to kill it, Barney Frank's mortgage reform bill was voted out of committee.

It tightens restrictions on issuing mortgages (a barn door cow thing, but still good), and gives people more options in bankruptcy.

This is why Democrats matter.
