The special election in Ohio's 12^th Congressional district, which has been presented as a bellwether^* for November is too close to call, but it looks like the Republican has a vote lead of a little bit more than a thousand votes.

^*The etymology of the word "bellwether" is interesting, it literally means a castrated sheep with a bell around its neck.^†
†I find the juxtaposition of politics and castrated sheep remarkably apropos.
